Visiting Fulbright Researcher

Maciej is an assistant lecturer at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw) and a Ph.D. student at the Graduate School for Social Research (Warsaw). He graduated from University of Warsaw in literary studies and applied social sciences. He was a visiting researcher at MAD Lab (Fulbright Junior Advanced Research Program 2010-2011).

He has published articles and book chapters on sociology of literature, media use in everyday life and empirical approaches to literary response. His Ph.D. project focuses on the role of a writer in the contemporary new media environment, covering such issues as literary communication, new forms of literary output and collective writing online.

In his latest study he investigated differences in literary reading between print and computer screen. His research interests include literary theory, communication, sociology, reader response, electronic literature, and online communities.
