Rick Tillman
PhD Student

Rick received his B.A. in psychology (Magna cum Laude) from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and his M.A. in experimental psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. Rick has worked in the multidisciplinary environments of the Institute for Intelligent Systems at The University of Memphis and is currently working on his Ph.D. at the Tilburg Center for Cognition and Communication at the University of Tilburg (Universiteit van Tilburg, Netherlands) under the mentorship of Prof. dr. Max Louwerse.

Rick is interested in all things language. His previous research has included categorization of plural nouns, implied movement interference effects, comparing Spanish and English speakers’ attribution of responsibility, and finding emotions and geographical locations through language statistics. His current research project includes investigating linguistic relativity.
